Ephtal’s Unrivaled Tale Begins Now! Episode 1 Preview Cuts & Synopsis Released for the Anime “From Overshadowed to Overpowered”

Along with the preview cuts and synopsis for Episode 1, the broadcasting schedule has been released for the new anime “From Overshadowed to Overpowered: Second Reincarnation of a Talentless Sage.”

“From Overshadowed to Overpowered” is a highly popular manga series with over 1.8 million copies in print. In this work, the Great Sage Ephtal (CV: Shūichirō Umeda)—who reincarnated from the modern world and dedicated his life to the research of sorcery—is reincarnated once again into a world 400 years in the future where magical civilization has declined; despite having no aptitude for magic, he carves his own path using his past-life knowledge and sheer effort.

The series has gained massive popularity for its magical battles waged with knowledge and experience from a past life as weapons, as well as its exhilarating story of carving out destiny through effort and obsession. Broadcasting is scheduled to begin on July 1 on TOKYO MX, ABC TV, BS Fuji, and WOWOW.

Furthermore, it has been decided that the series will receive an advance terrestrial and fastest web streaming release on ABEMA every Thursday at 24:00, starting June 25.
