The synopsis and preview stills for Episode 1 of the new anime "The Cat and the Dragon" have been released.

"The Cat and the Dragon" (Original Work: Amara / Original Character Design: Mai Okuma / Manga: Izumi Sasaki), whose novels and manga are currently published by Takarajimasha, is a highly popular fantasy work. It depicts a story of mysterious bonds woven by a dragon raised by cats, the cats themselves, and humans—a heartwarming and slightly bittersweet tale.

Nekoryu (CV: Takehito Koyasu), a dragon who lost his biological parents before birth, was raised by Mama-nyan (CV: Kikuko Inoue), a mother cat he met by chance. The cats welcomed the dragon into their family as a "slightly unusual cat" that flies in the sky and breathes fire. This is a heartwarming and slightly bittersweet story of mysterious bonds woven by a dragon raised by cats, the cats themselves, and humans.

【Synopsis】
Deep, deep within a forest where magical beasts roam, a certain mother cat was preparing to give birth. Although the mother cat safely gave birth to her kittens in a warm cave, what crawled out from under a pile of fallen leaves was none other than a tiny, fire-breathing baby dragon. The dragon cub had lost its real mother immediately after being born. The mother cat decides to transcend species and raise the dragon cub as her own child.
