Lara the mermaid falls in a taboo love with a human living on land... Anime "Goodbye, Lara" Episode 1 synopsis and preview stills released

From the new anime "Goodbye, Lara," the synopsis and preview stills for Episode 1, along with a web preview narrated by the protagonist Lara (voiced by Hana Hishikawa), have been released.

"Goodbye, Lara" is an original TV anime series announced as the 15th-anniversary project of Kinema Citrus, the studio behind numerous popular anime such as "Made in Abyss," "My Happy Marriage," "The Rising of the Shield Hero," and "Revue Starlight." Based on the fairy tale "The Little Mermaid," the story unfolds around Lara, a mermaid princess resurrected in Lake Biwa 200 years later.

The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on TOKYO MX every Sunday at 24:30 starting July 5.
