[Photos/Images] New Summer Anime The Cat and the Dragon to Get 1-Week Advanced Terrestrial Streaming on ABEMA Starting June 27! Episode 1 Starts at 10:30 PM 1st

It has been decided that the new summer anime The Cat and the Dragon will receive a one-week advanced terrestrial and fastest web streaming on ABEMA starting June 27.

The Cat and the Dragon is a fantasy work based on the light novel by Amara, which originated on Shousetsuka ni Narou and has been published into books and adapted into manga by Takarajimasha. The series depicts a heartwarming story woven together by a fire-breathing dragon raised by cats, magic-wielding cats, and humans. The bond that transcends species born between the fire-breathing dragon—who dislikes humans for a certain reason—the unique cats, and humans, along with their gentle daily life and sometimes poignant drama, gained massive popularity. It achieved an unprecedented 1st place in the daily rankings for short stories on Shousetsuka ni Narou, and the series has surpassed a cumulative total of 1.4 million copies in circulation.

The TV anime, scheduled to begin broadcasting in July, features a star-studded voice cast including Takehito Koyasu as Nekoryū, alongside Kikuko Inoue, Fūka Izumi, and Show Hayami, drawing significant attention to its first TV anime adaptation.

The one-week advanced terrestrial and fastest web streaming of The Cat and the Dragon has now been confirmed for ABEMA. Ahead of the terrestrial TV broadcast by one week, the fastest web streaming will kick off every Saturday night at 9:30 PM starting June 27. Episode 1 will be broadcast for free on the "ABEMA Anime Channel" on June 27 at 10:30 PM, and from Episode 2 onward, the latest episodes will air every Saturday night at 9:30 PM starting July 4.

In addition, one week after the broadcast, starting every Saturday night at 9:00 PM (simultaneous with the terrestrial broadcast time), free on-demand viewing of the terrestrially broadcast episode will be available for one week.
