Tougen Anki Anime Special Program to Air on July 2! Kazuki Ura and Others to Appear, First-Ever Reveal of New Season 2 Information

An exclusive free broadcast of the TV anime Tougen Anki special program, titled "TV Anime Tougen Anki Special Program ~Season 2 New Information Announcement Edition~," will air on ABEMA on Thursday, July 2 at 8:00 PM.

Tougen Anki is a manga series by Yura Urushibara that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) since 2020. Inspired by "Momotaro," a folktale that everyone in Japan knows, this new-generation dark hero Oni story depicts the conflict between those who inherit the blood of Oni (demons) and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro, told from the perspective of the Oni side.

The profound storyline woven by the descendants of the Oni and Momotaro has garnered massive popularity, with the tankobon volumes surpassing a cumulative total of 6 million copies in circulation. Following the broadcast of the first season of the TV anime in July 2025, the second season, titled Season 2: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, is scheduled to begin broadcasting in October. Further attention is being drawn to the new battle between the Oni and Momotaro set in Nikko.

The special program "TV Anime Tougen Anki Special Program ~Season 2 New Information Announcement Edition~," which has been confirmed for an exclusive free broadcast on ABEMA, will feature appearances by Kazuki Ura (voicing Shiki Ichinose), Kōtarō Nishiyama (voicing Jin Kōgasaki), and Natsuki Hanae (voicing Juji Yusurube). In addition to looking back at the Kyoto Arc and Nerima Arc alongside the actions of the Rasetsu Academy members in the first season, the cast will thoroughly break down the highlights and new character information for the second season (Season 2: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc), which begins broadcasting in October. Furthermore, brand-new information regarding the second season will be revealed for the first time during the program.

Additionally, right before the special program, a free marathon broadcast of all 24 episodes of the TV anime Tougen Anki Season 1 will kick off on Thursday, July 2 at 8:00 AM. All episodes will be available for free viewing for one week after the broadcast.
