Toy Story 5 Merchandise Abounds! Disney Store "Toy Story" Report

The latest installment in Disney and Pixar's immensely popular franchise, Toy Story 5, will hit theaters on July 3. Ahead of its release, the latest merchandise for the film has arrived at the Disney Store, and select locations are featuring special decorations that capture the world of the Toy Story series.

This article provides a look inside the store, focusing on photos taken during a media preview held at the Disney Store Shibuya Koen-dori Store.

The Toy Story series has been beloved by fans for over 30 years since the first film was released in 1995.

In the latest film, Toy Story 5, daily life changes completely when Lilypad, a state-of-the-art tablet, arrives for Bonnie, the young girl whose growth Jessie has been watching over. Seeing Bonnie lose her smile, Jessie, along with Woody and Buzz, struggles to help her find it again—.

Just as the entire franchise has depicted the bond between humans and toys, the Disney Store is also running a campaign centered around the keyword "connecting."

Characterized by its castle-like exterior that stands out even amidst the Shibuya cityscape, the Disney Store Shibuya Koen-dori Store features special decorations on the 3rd floor, sequentially showcasing films from Toy Story to Toy Story 5. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by panels of Jessie, Bullseye, and Prospector.

In addition to displays inspired by Andy's room from Toy Story and Sunnyside Daycare from Toy Story 3, a wide range of existing merchandise is also on display.

Other highlights include a statue of Buzz and a Toy Story 5 photo spot.

The first floor was filled with a plethora of new merchandise related to Toy Story 5. There is a rich lineup of items featuring familiar members like Woody and Buzz Lightyear, as well as characters featured prominently in this film, such as Jessie and Bullseye.

Merchandise for the new characters—cutting-edge toys like Lilypad, Smarty Pants, Atlas, and Snappy—is also part of the lineup.

Furthermore, a new collection dubbed "TOY STORY FASHION" has made its debut. It features fashion items with pop-style designs of the toys.

Additionally, there is a popular Disney Store initiative called "Disney Store Aiko Janken" (Tie Rock-Paper-Scissors). Customers can approach a store cast member to play rock-paper-scissors, and if they end up in a tie, they receive either a store-specific card or a random card. Currently, Toy Story-themed random cards are also available.
