The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 1 of the new anime Though I Am an Inept Villainess have been released.

This upcoming TV anime is based on the series of the same name, published under Ichijinsha Novels by Satsuki Nakamura (author) and Kana Yuki (illustrator), with a manga adaptation by Ei Ohitsuji currently serialized in Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM. Set in the Suuguu, a palace where the next imperial consorts are raised, it depicts a palace "body-swap" reversal drama played out by two completely opposite girls.

Episode 1 will air on the TV Tokyo network on Sunday, July 12 at 23:45, and will be distributed sequentially on various streaming platforms starting Monday, July 13 at 0:15.
