A Virus Invades the Foreign Minister's Interpreter's Cyberbrain... The Ghost in the Shell Anime Releases Episode 2 Synopsis, Scene Cuts, and Episode Visual

The synopsis, scene cuts, and episode visuals for Episode 2 of the anime "The Ghost in the Shell" have been released.

The Ghost in the Shell series is a science fiction franchise that has expanded across numerous works since Masamune Shirow first published the original comic in 1989, including Mamoru Oshii's film Ghost in the Shell (1995), other animated works, and a Hollywood live-action film. This latest installment is the newest TV anime in the franchise, airing since July 7 every Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. in the "Hi Anibaru!!" programming block on the Kansai TV (KTV)/Fuji TV network nationwide.

The "Episode Visual" released alongside this update is a special initiative in which an alternative-design poster is created and released for every episode, each drawing out its own unique concept or theme from the main story.

Recruited by Aramaki, Kusanagi and her team begin operating as the Shell Squad. One day, a virus infiltrates the cyberbrain of the Foreign Minister's interpreter. Sensing a move by the exiled Colonel Malles to sabotage a secret conference, Aramaki orders Kusanagi and the others to trace the culprit.
