Naruto and Ikimonogakari Collaborate! Two-Week Consecutive Premiere Confirmed for "JUMP MV"

A collaboration MV between Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto and the band Ikimonogakari has been confirmed as the 55th and 56th installments of "JUMP MV," the major joint project between Sony Music and Weekly Shonen Jump, set to premiere on YouTube's "Jump Channel."

Naruto is a shonen manga by Masashi Kishimoto that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It quickly gained popularity after its debut in 1999 and concluded in 2014 after 700 chapters. The story follows ninja protagonist Naruto Uzumaki as he overcomes fierce battles with rivals and the burdens of his past in pursuit of becoming Hokage, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, and has won fans around the world. The series' collected volumes have sold more than 250 million copies across over 60 countries and regions.

The anime series began airing on TV Tokyo in 2002 and continued as Naruto Shippuden from 2007 through March 2017. It marked the 20th anniversary of its television broadcast in October 2022. Eleven theatrical films have also been released, and the franchise continues to be distributed in more than 145 countries and regions, making it a beloved national franchise worldwide.

This collaboration comes as Ikimonogakari, marking their 20th debut anniversary, continue to gain momentum. Collaboration MVs for the two acclaimed songs "Hotaru no Hikari" and "Blue Bird" are set to premiere on consecutive weeks.

"Hotaru no Hikari" will premiere at 9:00 p.m. on July 18, followed by "Blue Bird" at 9:00 p.m. on July 25, both on the Jump Channel.
