PV featuring first-look footage from Season 2 of the anime "Gachiakuta" has arrived! Local illustration of Enjin & Zanka released

A "Season 2 First Look PV" containing multiple first-look scenes from Season 2 of the TV anime "Gachiakuta" has been released. Along with this, a new illustration of Enjin and Zanka enjoying local gourmet food at the event venue was also revealed.

"Gachiakuta" is a battle-action manga serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" since February 2022, written by Kei Urana (original story) and Hideyoshi Ando (graffiti design). The story centers on Rudo, an orphaned boy born in a slum where descendants of criminals live. The work won the Global Special Award in the comics category of the "Next Manga Awards 2022," as well as the Shonen category at the 50th Kodansha Manga Awards in 2026. Produced by anime studio Bones Film, Season 1 of the TV anime aired and streamed continuously for two consecutive quarters starting in July 2025. At the "Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026," it drew significant attention both in Japan and overseas by winning three categories: Best New Series, Best Character Design, and Best Background Art. Stage play and game adaptations, as well as the production of Season 2 of the anime, have also been confirmed.

This PV features footage that was pre-screened at overseas events held in July 2026, specifically "Anime Expo 2026 (Los Angeles)" and the "25th Comic Exhibition (Taipei)."

The PV contains multiple first-look scenes from the main body of Season 2. It includes depictions of Enjin (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi) exhaling cigarette smoke, the mysterious Fu (voiced by Hiro Shimono), the vandal Zodyl (voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi), Cthoni (voiced by Ayahi Takagaki), and Jabber (voiced by Yūki Shin), alongside action scenes featuring a tearful Amo (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) and Rudo (voiced by Aoi Ichikawa) entering battle stance atop a car.

Additionally, the design of the limited-edition illustration postcards distributed at "Anime Expo 2026" and the "25th Comic Exhibition" was revealed. Departing from their in-series attire, they are depicted in casual Sukajan jackets, with Enjin munching on gyoza and Zanka devouring a hot dog.

The event venues that served as the sites for the advance screening were also filled with excitement. On Friday, July 3, 2026, during the panel stage at "Anime Expo 2026" in Los Angeles, voice actor Aoi Ichikawa (Rudo), director Fumihiko Suganuma, and producer Naoki Amano took the stage. They shared behind-the-scenes stories of the production and presented live voice recording by Ichikawa. When the "Season 2 First Look PV" made its world premiere, loud cheers erupted from the venue.
