Yanineko's Hopeless "Toilet Situation" Sparks a Huge Commotion: Chainsmoker Cat Episode 9 Synopsis and Advance Stills Released

The synopsis, advance stills, and preview video for Episode 9, "Nya's Little Sister Is Super Popular, Nya," have been released for the TV anime Chainsmoker Cat, currently airing on TOKYO MX, BS11, AT-X, and other channels.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Nyan Nyan Factory, currently serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine. Set in a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, it is a comedy depicting the laid-back yet trashy everyday lives of Yanineko (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi), a beastfolk who smokes and idles through life, and of the cat-eared residents around Yanineko.

The TV anime Chainsmoker Cat has been airing since July 2026 on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday from 24:30, and on AT-X from July 25 every Saturday from 24:30 (rebroadcast: every Thursday from 28:00). Streaming has been rolling out on Netflix and other streaming sites every Thursday from 25:00 since July 2.
