Yakuneko and Hameneko Go for a Drive! Anime 'Chainsmoker Cat' Episode 10 Synopsis and Preview Scene Cuts Released

The synopsis, preview scene cuts, and trailer for Episode 10, "Meow, I'll Enjoy the Event Too," of the TV anime Chainsmoker Cat—currently airing on TOKYO MX, BS11, AT-X, and other channels—have been released.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by NyanNyanFactory, serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine. Set in a world where humans and beast-people coexist, it's a comedy depicting the laid-back but slovenly daily lives of the beast-person Yanineko (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi), who smokes and lives an aimless life, and the cat-eared residents around him.

The TV anime Chainsmoker Cat has been airing since July 2026, broadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 24:30, and on AT-X every Saturday at 24:30 since July 25 (repeat broadcast: every Thursday from 28:00). It is also being streamed on Netflix and other streaming platforms, with new episodes released every Thursday at 25:00 since July 2.

Looking for a change of pace, Yakuneko and Hameneko set off on a drive to a waterfall power spot. Surprisingly, the two of them do have driver's licenses. But unable to bear Hameneko's selfishness along the way, Yakuneko comes up with an outrageous act of revenge... The journey of these two cats, whose compatibility is anyone's guess, predictably doesn't go as planned. Not going according to plan is, perhaps, the real charm of a trip—or so they'd like to say, to gloss over absolutely everything.
