"I Love Jinshi, But I'm Scared I'll Fall for Rikuson in Season 3": Fans React as "The Apothecary Diaries" Season 3 Poster Debuts Ahead of October 2 Premiere

Season 3 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" premieres on Friday, October 2, at 11 p.m. Ahead of the broadcast, all 11 character posters featuring the cast active in the new season have been unveiled at once, along with streaming platform information, sparking buzz on social media.

The anime "The Apothecary Diaries" is based on the original work, a light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. The series has been a massive hit, with manga adaptations from two different publishers. It gained widespread popularity for its mystery plotlines centered on Maomao, who ends up working as a food taster in the rear palace, as well as her comedic exchanges with Jinshi. The TV anime has aired through Season 2, and Season 3 will air in a two-cour split, with the first cour beginning in October 2026 and the second in April 2027. Additionally, the franchise's first feature film, "The Apothecary Diaries: Bohi no Hihou," is scheduled for release on December 11.

The posters feature familiar characters such as Maomao, Jinshi, and Gaoshun, along with the Three Princesses of the Verdigris House, as well as Chou-u, Basen, Lahan, and Rikuson, who take on a bigger spotlight in Season 3, and new character Bai Niangniang. Each poster pairs the character's visual with a line of dialogue from Season 3.
