Cosplay at a TV Station and a Skating Rink! Report on "OSU Cos ~Osu COSPLAY~ 2026"

"OSU Cos ~Osu COSPLAY~ 2026" was held in Aichi Prefecture's Nagoya on September 12, 2026. With memories still fresh of the World Cosplay Summit 2026, held from July 31 to August 2 that same year, this was a community-rooted cosplay event held across the Osu area, centered on the Osu Shopping District.

The event was organized by three groups: TV Aichi; WCS, which runs the "World Cosplay Summit"; and Vivicos, which holds cosplay events mainly in Aichi.

On the day, a large number of cosplayers gathered at Wakamiya Plaza, showing off their costumes while enjoying photography and mingling with one another. After taking a group photo (gathering) on the steps of Osu Kannon, participants also held a cosplay parade through the Osu Shopping District. Many stores in the venue area welcomed customers in cosplay, and cosplayers livened up the whole town.

Another feature of the event was the chance to cosplay at unique venues. One of the venues, Osu Skating Rink (Nagoya Sports Center), is also known as the setting for the TV anime Medalist.

The event also set aside a time slot when the entire skating rink was reserved exclusively for participants, letting them enjoy ice skating and photography in cosplay — a rare opportunity not normally available.

In addition, the studio of event organizer TV Aichi was opened to participants, who were able to enjoy cosplay using genuine broadcast studio equipment.

Across the Osu area, TV Aichi also held the "10chan Atarima Ennichi in Osu" festival at the same time. Events beyond cosplay took place as well, drawing a lively crowd of diverse participants. On the special stage, "SakuCos × CosSami Selection," a collaboration among Nagoya's leading cosplay performance stages, was also held.
