"Tokyo Game Show 2026" is being held from September 17 to 20, 2026 (with the 21st being canceled) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. As one of the world's premier gaming festivals, this event features 1,138 game publishers and related companies exhibiting from 53 countries and regions. The first day, the 17th, saw 53,630 attendees, and the second day, the 18th, brought in another 52,545.

The exhibition booths of various companies were bustling with crowds of fans, offering new game showcases, playable demos, attractions, and swag giveaways. In this article, we will report on one of those booths, Smilegate, accompanied by photos of the cosplayers and booth models who added flair to the event.

Smilegate showcased two new titles: "Dead Account : Two Blue Flames" and "MIRESI: Invisible Future". Both are mobile-exclusive RPGs, and playable demos were available at the booth.

Additionally, visitors receive an attendee bonus just by stopping by both booths. You can also score exclusive merch by playing the game demos, as well as by pre-registering and following their official social media accounts. Completing all of these steps allows you to pull a gacha to win even more prizes.

"Dead Account" is based on the manga currently serialized in Kodansha's "Magazine Pocket", with its main highlight being the exhilarating battles dubbed "Total Beatdown Cyber Action". On the other hand, "MIRESI" is an original work themed around time travel to save a dying world.
