Enjoy the New Game's World Through Hands-On Play and a Scenario Screening! Astrae Oratio Report from Tokyo Game Show 2026

Tokyo Game Show 2026 was held September 17-20, 2026 (the 21st was cancelled) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. One of the world's premier gaming events, it drew 1,138 exhibitors—game makers and related companies—from 53 countries and regions. Attendance reached 53,630 on the first day (the 17th), 52,545 on the second day (the 18th), and 78,678 on the third day (the 19th), the first day open to the general public.

At exhibitor booths throughout the show, companies unveiled new games and offered hands-on demos, attractions, and novelty giveaways, drawing large crowds of fans. This article reports on one such booth, Astrae Oratio, featuring photos of the cosplayers and companions who brought it to life.

Astrae Oratio is a new occult-fantasy magic RPG for smartphones set in Tokyo, depicting the battles of young sorceresses. The upcoming title is currently recruiting closed beta testers, and at the booth, visitors could try a hands-on demo of the game as well as enjoy the story's prologue PV in a scenario screening.

An event was also held in which visitors who completed missions—such as following the official X account, subscribing to the official YouTube channel, and trying the game demo—received TGS2026-exclusive novelty items. Guided by companions cosplaying as staff of the Special District Office branch that appears in the game, visitors took home items such as backpacks and business card holders.
