Final PV for Sound! Euphonium Culminates the Series: 11 Years of the Journey and Plenty of New Scenes from Part 2

The final PV for Sound! Euphonium, the last installment of the hugely popular brass band anime series produced by Kyoto Animation, has been released. The special video is packed with the story's journey woven over 11 years, along with new scenes from Part 2 of Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie, which has been a big hit in theaters since Friday, September 11.

Centered on the banter among three characters, the video depicts the conflicts, resolve, and bonds with fellow members that emerged as they aimed for a gold medal at the national competition: Kumiko Ōmae, the protagonist and president of the Kitauji High School concert band; her friend Reina Kōsaka, who serves as drum major; and Mayu Kuroe, a transfer student and Kumiko's rival.

In addition to memorable scenes that have defined the series, such as Kumiko and Reina shedding tears on Daikichiyama and Kumiko expressing her feelings to the band members, the video's final stretch features a performance by the four euphonium section members across different school years, as well as the members who will carry on to the next generation. It portrays the Kitauji High School concert band's journey, passed down from the upperclassmen to Kumiko and her classmates and then on to the next generation, in a video that brings back the days spent striving for a gold medal at the national competition and the characters' memories all at once.

Sound! Euphonium is a hit youth anime series produced by Kyoto Animation and based on the novels by Ayano Takeda. Set in the Kitauji High School concert band, it follows members, including Kumiko Ōmae, who face their music with total seriousness and grow toward the goal of a gold medal at the national competition through clashes and setbacks, depicted with stunning visuals and delicate psychological portrayal. Part 1 of Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie, a story that serves as the culmination of the long-running series, opened in theaters on April 24, and Part 2 opened on September 11.
