“Chicken Doria Sayaka Is Too Cute”: Joyfull x Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- Collab Starts October 6

Family restaurant chain Joyfull has announced a collaboration campaign with Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-, and fans on social media have already responded with delight, creating a big buzz. The campaign runs from 3 p.m. on October 6 to 3 p.m. on November 10.

The newly drawn key visual created especially for the collaboration shows the magical girls in outfits styled after Joyfull's uniforms. Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Mami Tomoe, and Nagisa Momoe, each holding a popular menu item, brighten up the campaign.

The highlight is a set of six original-design acrylic stands, sold exclusively through Joyfull's web reservation service for takeout, at 4,950 yen (tax included). Limited to the first 1,500 sets, reservations are accepted from 3 p.m. on October 6 to 3 p.m. on November 10, and the sets can be picked up at the designated store between January 12 and January 31, 2027.

A variety of giveaway campaigns through the official app and social media will also run at the same time. Those who meet the conditions through the app or LINE can win a meal voucher, while X offers a chance to win an original-design accessory case and Instagram an original blanket, all by lottery. The app also features limited-edition visit stamps with characters that change by period.

In response to the collaboration announcement featuring the latest visuals of the popular franchise, social media has been flooded with praise and anticipation, with comments such as “So cute, I want the merch too!”, “This is amazing!”, “Chicken Doria Sayaka is too cute,” “I'm so happy I'm crying,” “That's the Walpurgisnacht: Rising animation... so good,” and “Homu-Homu is too cute.”

Puella Magi Madoka Magica aired as a TV anime in 2011 and became a social phenomenon. Key staff members, including director Akiyuki Shinbo, scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi, and original character designer Ume Aoki, have reunited to work on the all-new Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-.
