Rein Is Suddenly Expelled from the Guild... Anime 'The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life' Episode 1 Synopsis and Teaser Cuts Released

The episode 1 synopsis, teaser cuts and next-episode preview video have arrived for the anime 'The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life'.

Based on the original work by Asa Rokushima, which has surpassed 1.5 million copies in circulation, this isekai fantasy is animated by P.A.WORKS. The original author has noted that the novel and manga versions differ significantly in content, and the story unfolds unpredictably, blending adventure, action and human drama with addictively chaotic gags. The TV anime begins airing on Tuesday, October 6 at midnight (24:00) on the TV Tokyo network.

Rein (voiced by Daiki Yamashita), an enhancement-granting mage, is suddenly expelled from his guild one day. But rather than despairing, he says, "I can do anything now," retrieves the large amount of enhancement points he had granted to the guild members' gear, and sets out on a new path as an adventurer.

Episode 1: "I think everyone has times when nothing goes right, but what do I do in those times? Simple: I just run, screaming at the top of my lungs, wooaaaah!" Synopsis
"Alright! Then let's expel one of ours too." Rein, who works at the adventurer guild "Fangs of the King Beast," is an enhancement-granting mage who can grant "enhancement points" to all manner of things, including weapons and armor. On a whim of guildmaster Barios, Rein is suddenly expelled from the guild.
