Recreating Scenes from "Psyren": "Connecting Public Phone: Psyren Immigration Screening" Event Report

"Tsu. Na. Ga. Ru Koushu Denwa Psyren Nyukoku Shinsa  (Connecting Public Phone: Psyren Immigration Screening)," an event recreating scenes from the TV anime "Psyren," which began airing in October 2026, was held on October 11 at Mark Event Square on the first floor of EAST MALL, Shibuya Mark City, in Tokyo.

In Episode 1 of "Psyren," the protagonist Ageha Yoshina gets a mysterious red phone card from a public phone. To help his classmate and childhood friend Sakurako Amamiya, Ageha uses the red phone card at a public phone again and ends up taking the "Psyren Immigration Screening" questionnaire. At "Connecting Public Phone: Psyren Immigration Screening," visitors could experience that scene recreated.

At the venue, a public phone booth was set up alongside the key visual for "Psyren" and standees of Ageha and Sakurako. An original public phone was reportedly developed in collaboration with NTT East.

Once inside the booth, visitors pick up the receiver and, just as in the story, follow voice guidance by voice actor Yoko Hikasa, pressing 1 for YES and 2 for NO as they answer the "Psyren Immigration Screening" questionnaire. In some parts of the questionnaire, visitors could also choose to hear exclusive voice lines from Ageha and other characters.

Participants also received a limited-edition card themed on the red phone card, and a sheet titled "Learn How to Use a Public Phone with Ageha Yoshina!" was handed out as well.
