New Anime 'dreamland': Comments Arrive from Hiro Mashima of 'Rave Master' and Yusuke Murata of 'Eyeshield 21,' Close Friends of the Creator

Starting Saturday, October 17, the TV anime dreamland will begin airing in the ANiMAZiNG!!! block on the ABC Television and TV Asahi network, spanning 24 stations nationwide. To mark the anime adaptation, congratulatory comments have arrived from manga artists Hiro Mashima (known for 'Rave Master,' 'Fairy Tail,' and more) and Yusuke Murata (known for 'Eyeshield 21,' 'One-Punch Man,' and more), both close friends of original creator Reno Lemaire.

dreamland is an anime based on a shonen manga by French creator Reno Lemaire. It follows Terrence, a boy who has been haunted by a fear of fire since losing his mother in a blaze, as he awakens as a traveler of the dream world 'Dreamland' and sets off on an adventure. The Japanese-localized version's cast includes Kakeru Hatano, Asami Tano, Kaede Hondo, and Takuya Eguchi.

Mashima, who has known Lemaire for more than 10 years, commented, "Lemaire has great respect for Japanese manga, and I'm sure a story with appealing characters and unexpected twists will resonate with Japanese viewers." Murata also offered words of support, saying, "I'm convinced this is a manga written by a 'friend' from France who, just like us, became absorbed in the same works and took them in with all their heart."
