The anime "Medalist" is based on a manga serialized in the seinen manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (published by Kodansha) by Tsurumaikada. The original manga was selected as the first place winner in the "Next Manga Awards 2022" Comics Division and also received awards such as the "68th Shogakukan Manga Award" in the General category and the "48th Kodansha Manga Award" in the General category. The story follows Inori Yuitsuka (CV: Natsumi Haruse), a girl who dreams of the world of figure skating, and her coach, a former figure skater named Tsukasa Akeuraji, as they team up to aim for the medalist title.

[Synopsis]
Inori and Tsukasa set their next goal to win at the Western Japan Elementary and Junior High School Tournament. To achieve a high score, successfully landing a double jump is essential. With this in mind, Tsukasa resolves to do everything he can for Inori. Thus, the day of the Level One Badge Test arrives.
