Many were moved by Toji's final display of affection for his son, saying things like, "Toji did have feelings after all," "The humanity he showed at the very end was just something," and "Toji's face looked so relieved."
The currently airing anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has exceeded 100 million copies in circulation. The story depicts the battle between "curses," which are born from human negative emotions, and the sorcerers who exorcise them using jujutsu. The narrative takes a significant turn when Yuji Itadori (voiced by Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with "the King of Curses" Ryomen Sukuna, enrolls in the "Jujutsu High," a specialized institution for dealing with curses.
The first season of the TV anime, which began in October 2020, received an overwhelming response not only in Japan but also worldwide. The second season, broadcast from July to December 2023, depicted the story of "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death," which follows "the strongest jujutsu sorcerer" Satoru Gojo (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) and "the worst curse user" Suguru Geto (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) during their high school days, as well as the "Shibuya Incident" arc, which continues from the timeline of the first season. The production of the sequel "Culling Game" is also underway. Additionally, a theatrical compilation film "Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" is set to be released on May 30, 2025.
