Could It Be the Scar from That Time!? The Romantic Marks on the Displayed Zaku from "Gundam UC"

The anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" is set 17 years after the One Year War in Universal Century 0079, when Amuro Ray and Char Aznable traversed space. In its first episode, the Zaku that was defeated by the Gundam in the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" appeared!

The protagonist Banagher Links (voiced by Koki Uchiyama) and his friends, who attend Anaheim's Technical College in the industrial colony Industrial 7 on Side 4, received a history lesson about the One Year War. While moving through a shuttle, they came across various items on display, including weapons and uniforms believed to belong to the old Zeon army.

Amidst this, Banagher's friend and mobile suit enthusiast, Takuya Irei (voiced by Hiro Shimono), discovered something that made his eyes light up. What he found was none other than a Zaku II. The Zaku II, as fans will remember, is the mobile suit that Amuro first fought against when he piloted the Gundam in the first episode of "Mobile Suit Gundam."

During this encounter, Amuro battled against two Zaku units, slicing one in half with his beam saber. The resulting explosion created a hole in Side 7, causing air to leak into space and leading to Amuro's father, Tem Ray, being blown into space. Concerned that exploding the other Zaku would deplete Side 7's air, Amuro aimed for the cockpit to prevent an explosion and successfully took down the Zaku.
