[Photos/Images] If It's Not Frieren, It's a Heartstopper! Female Fans Swoon Over Hero Himmel's Confession & Bold Ring-Giving 1st

One of the elements causing a stir in the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is the heart-fluttering depiction of Himmel (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto) towards Frieren (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki). Especially in episode 14, the "almost proposal" scene where Himmel gives a ring is considered one of the standout scenes that thrilled many viewers.

Currently available for streaming, the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the popular manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday," written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. The story takes place in a world after the demon king has been defeated, where Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over 1,000 years, embarks on a journey to "learn about humanity" after the death of her former adventuring companion, the hero Himmel.

The TV anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024, becoming a massive hit with related keywords trending on X (formerly Twitter) after each episode aired. The production of a second season has also been announced.

In episode 14, a past moment between Frieren and Himmel is depicted. One day, Himmel decides to gift Frieren something to acknowledge her achievements. While standing in front of a jewelry store, Frieren comments, "I’d be happier with a magic shop…" but settles on a random ring with, "Well, this will do." Holding the ring, Himmel seems to realize something with an "Ah," but merely brushes it off when Frieren asks, "What is it?"

When handing over the ring, Himmel unexpectedly kneels before Frieren, taking her left hand and slipping the ring onto her ring finger. In the background, bells conveniently chime, creating a scene reminiscent of a wedding ceremony.
