Wait...I Think I've Heard This Song Before!? The Exciting BGM "UNICORN" from "Gundam Unicorn" is Awesome Even If You Haven't Watched It

These days, it's not uncommon for anime background music to be played on variety shows and documentaries. You might have unknowingly listened to a piece of BGM that was actually a track from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn"... Such instances happen more often than you might think.

In episode 3 of "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096", a transaction involving the "Laplace's Box" was supposed to take place between the Vist Foundation and the remnants of Neo Zeon known as "the Sleeved". However, during the negotiations, the Earth Federation Forces and the Sleeved, both attempting to prevent the deal, engaged in armed conflict, plunging the colony into chaos.

In this battle, the protagonist Banagher Links (voiced by Koki Uchiyama) loses many of his classmates. Moreover, worried about the stranded Audrey, he returns to help her, disregarding the danger. While searching for her, Banagher discovers a white mobile suit. Peering into the cockpit, he finds Cardeas Vist (voiced by Takayuki Sugo), who, although barely conscious, is working on something.

When Banagher asks about Audrey, Cardeas replies, "She should be alive. She is someone who has survived death many times." However, it seemed that he wasn't aware of the full details. To Banagher, who says, "I just want to be needed by her," Cardeas entrusts the "key" to Laplace's Box and the Gundam Unicorn, as if placing hope in him.
