The appearance of Professor Rafal, who was supposed to have died in Episode 3, but now appeared as a seemingly grown-up version, left viewers on the internet astounded, exclaiming, "What!?" "Why are they here?" "No way, no way, no way," "What's going on...?" "Is this the real deal...?" "This is an unexpected development!" Various theories, such as "Is this a parallel world?" and "I think it's a different person depicted as Rafal," were being thrown around.

The anime "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth" is based on a popular manga by Uoto, which swept numerous awards, including the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Manga Grand Prize. The story portrays people who risked their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory.
