Moved by Words of Love After 20 Years... The "True Reunion" of Wife Theresia & Husband Wilhelm Becomes "An Episode That Can't Be Watched Without Tears" in Anime "Re:ZERO" Episode 64

Episode 64 of the anime "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- 3rd season" is currently airing sequentially from March 12th. The scene where Wilhelm van Astrea (voiced by Kenyu Horiuchi) conveys his words of love to his wife for the first time in over 20 years deeply moved viewers, calling it "an episode that cannot be watched without tears."

In Episode 64 titled "Theresia van Astrea," Theresia van Astrea (voiced by Minami Takahashi), the former Sword Saint who was supposed to be deceased, crosses swords with her husband Wilhelm. Revived as a corpse soldier by the enemy, Theresia continues to wield her sword in a state of lost self-awareness. However, as she suffers a fatal wound, she finally regains her senses at the end.

To the dying Theresia, Wilhelm says, "There is something I have to tell you," and remorsefully admits through tears, "I have been inarticulate, unable to convey my thoughts well, causing you trouble… That's why for over 20 years, I never… made you uneasy for 20 years…!"

Theresia, however, smiles and replies, "You have always told me. Your eyes, your voice, your demeanor, your actions have always…" Wilhelm finally manages to convey his deep love for his wife, "I love you."
