——Which costume from the history of Racing Miku is your favorite?

Cathy: I love Racing Miku 2020 the most! I fell in love at first sight when I saw the 2020 version vehicle displayed at a certain motor show. From there, I went to watch a race at the circuit, where the team finished second. Seeing not only the charm of Miku but also GOOD SMILE RACING's strong will and skill to win races made me a fan, and I created my first costume.

——That sounds like a very memorable experience! What do you like about the design of the 2020 version?

Cathy: Yes, the 2020 version of Racing Miku holds a special place in my heart. I love its sporty and mechanical design, which is fitting for racing.

——What aspects did you want to express with your cosplay this time, and what are you especially pleased with?

Cathy: I focused on the fabric and the wig! The character design was by Mogu Mogu, who was involved in "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," so I wanted to incorporate a sci-fi and futuristic taste in the fabric. I searched various stores for the perfect fabric.

It's not just plain white; it's a beautiful glossy fabric that changes its color nuances depending on the angle. It was expensive, but I'm satisfied with the high-quality finish.

The wig featured blue hair with pink tips, so I prepared a white wig and dyed it myself from scratch. It was so difficult that I don't want to do it again (laughs).
