The anime "Medalist" is based on a comic series by Tsurumaikada, currently being serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon". The comic has won numerous awards, including first place in the Comics Division of the "Next Manga Award 2022" and the General Division of the "48th Kodansha Manga Award".
