"MahoPri2" is a sequel to "Witchy Precure!" which was aired in 2016, and it depicts several years after the conclusion of the previous work. The story revolves around 20-year-old Mirai and 19-year-old Riko, who have become university students, learning of a new threat looming over the Magic World and the Nasimahou World, and once again transforming into Precures.

[Synopsis]
With the enigmatic words of Chronosto, a giant cocoon appeared in the sky above not only Tsunagi Town but also the entire world, enveloping people everywhere in fear and confusion. Despite this, the Precure refuse to give up and strive to thwart Chronosto's ambition to sever the cycle of life and chaos. However, their efforts are in vain as the cessation of time begins. People around the world, including Mirai and her friends, become trapped in a blissful past, turning into statues. Yet, Mirai, Riko, Kotoha, and Mofurun somehow share the same memories. As they gaze upon the joyful images of the past, they also cherish the preciousness of the changing times. United in their belief that they cannot remain in this unchanging world, the three of them and Mofurun choose to return to the present with the power of Mother Rapapa, even if it means losing all their memories. They vow to reunite with the Linkle Stones and surrender themselves to the magical light of Cure Felice.
