The second cour of the final season of the anime "Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE" has been confirmed for broadcast in July 2025. A commemorative original illustration has been released.
"Dr. STONE" is based on a popular manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. Set in a world where humanity has been petrified and civilization has collapsed, it follows Senku Ishigami, a science-loving boy who awakens from petrification and uses the power of "science" to rebuild civilization from scratch. The TV anime has been broadcast in three seasons since 2019, with the fourth and final season "Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE" airing from January 2025.
A commemorative illustration by character designer Yuko Iwasa, depicting Senku and Xeno, has been released. The Kingdom of Science, with Xeno as a hostage, has split into two groups heading to South America. The battle between the Kingdom of Science and Stanley's group will enter an even more intense phase in the second cour.
