"Chiikawa" is a popular manga series started by illustrator Nagano in 2020, posted on X (formerly Twitter). It won the Grand Prix at the 'Japan Character Awards 2022' and again in July 2024. The charming, small characters and the stark contrast of the severe world they live in have garnered widespread popularity among both adults and children, amassing over 3.85 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" airs on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 AM. From April 2025, for approximately three months, new episodes will be paused to rebroadcast past episodes that received significant attention. Additionally, the first-ever "Chiikawa" smartphone app, "Chiikawa Pocket," was released on March 27 and launched in 43 countries and regions, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.
