"Chiikawa" is a popular manga series by illustrator Nagano, which began serialization on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020. It won the Grand Prize at the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and again in 2024. The series captivates a wide audience, both adults and children, with the contrast between cute, small characters and a harsh world, having amassed over 3.85 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" airs on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 AM. From April 2025, the broadcast of new episodes will be paused for about three months, during which popular past episodes will be rebroadcast. Additionally, the first "Chiikawa" smartphone app, "Chiikawa Pocket," was released on March 27, available in 43 countries and regions worldwide, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.
