Nobuhiko Okamoto: "Beyond OiC to OiZ!" Showcases Food Report Catchphrase Taught by Tomokazu Seki, but Seki Says "Oh, Was There Such a Thing?" - Did the Master Forget and Crush His Student!?

While enjoying the food, the two also answered questions from viewers and reflected on After Dark. They discussed the most challenging experiences, projects they'd like to do again, and which partner they'd like to work with for one episode in the current season of After Dark MCs, which led to a discussion about their MC theories.

When Okamoto asked, "How can I skillfully draw out conversations like Seki-san?", Seki responded that curiosity is important, saying, "I'm just interested and listening to that."

Seki continued, "I'm sometimes asked to MC events for programs I'm not involved in, so I try to watch all the episodes in those cases. I also look at Wikipedia and various sources to get background information, and then have conversations based on that." Okamoto was impressed, saying, "I can see that your questioning skills are the result of effort."

They were also asked, "Who do you look up to as an example when MCing variety shows?" Seki answered, "I refer to Matsuko Deluxe. I think she's skilled, and even when she says something a bit harsh, she softens it by saying 'Just kidding!' I thought, 'Oh, so that's how you can do it' (laughs)."

When Seki asked Okamoto the same question, he replied, "I think the After Dark MCs are really skilled, and I find MCs like Masaya Onosaka and Takahiro Sakurai interesting too. There are many voice actors who are interesting as MCs, aren't there?"

However, Okamoto then revealed a slight complaint about Daisuke Namikawa. "When I appear at events with Namikawa-san, it's exciting, but the level of humor is raised so high that things that usually get laughs don't work, which is tough (laughs)," Okamoto said, causing Seki to burst into laughter.

Seki agreed, saying, "He has moments of divine inspiration. It's like his failures coincidentally stack up to become funny." Okamoto added, "He's skilled at failing," "I don't think there's anyone else who can get laughs just by saying their name. It's unfair!" he jokingly complained, eliciting more laughter.
