The anime "Medalist" is based on a manga serialized in the men's comic magazine "Afternoon" (Kodansha) by Tsurumaikada. The original work was selected as the first place in the comics division of the "Next Manga Award 2022", and has also won the "68th Shogakukan Manga Award" in the general division and the "48th Kodansha Manga Award" in the comprehensive division. The story follows a young girl, Inori Yuitsuka (CV: Natsumi Haruse), who admires the world of figure skating, and a young man, Tsukasa Akeuraji, a former figure skater, who becomes her coach. They form a team and aim to become medalists.
