"Chiikawa" is a popular manga series by illustrator Nagano, which began serialization on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the 'Japan Character Award 2022' and again at the 'Japan Character Award 2024' announced in July 2024. The series is widely popular among both adults and children due to its charming small and cute characters juxtaposed with a stark worldview, and it has surpassed 3.85 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" airs within Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 AM. Starting in April 2025, new episodes will be paused for about three months to rebroadcast episodes that had a significant impact in the past. Additionally, the first smartphone app for "Chiikawa," titled "Chiikawa Pocket," was released on March 27, and it is available in 43 countries and regions worldwide, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.
