The official X account of the ABEMA Anime Channel has announced the top 3 most-commented scenes for episode 36 (season 2, episode 12) titled "Ka Zuigetsu" of "The Apothecary Diaries."

"The Apothecary Diaries" is an animated adaptation of the novel by Hyuganatsu, set in the imperial court. It follows a young apothecary girl named Maomao, who becomes a "food taster" and uses her knowledge of poisons and medicines to solve various mysteries occurring within the court. This palace mystery entertainment has captivated audiences.

The series has been adapted into manga, serialized in two monthly magazines, "Big Gangan" (Square Enix) and "Sunday GX" (Shogakukan), and has surpassed 40 million copies in total circulation. The TV anime, which aired consecutively for two cours starting in October 2023, has gained popularity for its mystery-solving drama led by the poison-loving girl Maomao, as well as the comical interactions between Maomao and the handsome eunuch Jinshi. It even reached the top trend on X. Starting January 10, 2025 (Friday), the second season will air consecutively for two cours, promising even more excitement.
