"Chiikawa" is a popular manga posted on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020 by illustrator Nagano. It won the grand prize at the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and the "Japan Character Awards 2024" announced in July 2024. The gap between the cute little characters and the severe worldview has gained widespread popularity from adults to children, and the followers have surpassed 3.85 million to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" is broadcast every Tuesday and Friday around 7:40 AM on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV". From April 2025, new broadcasts will be suspended for about three months, and episodes with a lot of feedback in the past will be revival broadcast. Also, the first smartphone app of "Chiikawa", "Chiikawa Pocket", was released on March 27, and the service started in 43 countries and regions around the world including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.
