Perfectly Recreated Through Cosplay!? The Reason Behind "Frierin Being Eaten by a Mimic" is "My Otaku Heart Was Calling"

——What aspects did you want to express with this cosplay?

Miita:  I paid particular attention to facial expressions and poses, thinking "This is how Frieren would do it". I also remade the buttons on the costume several times to stay true to the original. There are still areas for improvement though...

——You mentioned you love Frieren. What aspects of her character appeal to you?

Miita: I feel that her lack of interest in others is somewhat similar to me (laughs). Even though Frieren is incredibly strong, she has a bit of an absent-minded charm, and I find her irresistibly cute and ephemeral.

——In addition to the photos taken by our editorial team, you provided us with a photo of Frieren being eaten by a Mimic. Did you prepare this Mimic yourself?

Miita: Yes, I made the Mimic myself and brought it along (laughs)! My otaku heart was saying, "If I’m going to be Frieren, a Mimic is essential!" so I made it in a hurry (laughs).

——Could you share your future plans or any other characters you’d like to cosplay?

Miita:  I plan to participate in events like "acosta!" and the "World Cosplay Summit". I also want to focus on my activities on social media platforms like TikTok. There are many characters I want to become, but I’m still deciding.
