"Cosplay of Muichiro Tokito from 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba', expressing the 'firm and strong will to defeat the demons' through facial expressions"

——What did you want to express and focus on in your cosplay this time?

taito：I particularly focused on facial expressions and makeup. I'm not the kind of person who usually shows a lot of expressions, so I've always struggled with managing my expressions. So, I tried my best to get closer to the original work by showing "Muichiro's cool and expressionless face, but with a firm and strong will to defeat the demons."

As for makeup, it's something I'm good at, contrary to managing my expressions, so I was particular about choosing eyeliner, eyebrows, and colored contact lenses.

—— "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" has been popular for a long time. Can you tell us when you first came across the work and what parts of it you like?

taito：I started watching it around 2019 when the anime was broadcast. It was an anime that my best friend recommended to me, and there are so many things I love about it, such as the preciousness and sorrow of human emotions, the beautiful and smooth animation, and the depth of the characters that make me empathize with them!

—— Can you tell us about your future activities and any cosplay you would like to try in the future?

taito：Yes. I love Hololive (VTuber) as well as anime, so I'm planning to cosplay as Holomen for Comiket this summer! I would be very happy if you could call out to me when we meet!

In addition, I am still a beginner cosplayer with only about 9 months of experience, but I especially want to participate in many events this year!

I still have a lot of room for improvement in terms of facial expression management, posing variations, makeup, and wigs, but I will continue to work hard, so I would be very happy if you could call out to me or take pictures with your camera when you see me at events!
