"Wishing to Look Young" - A Deep Character Interpretation in a 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Riko Amanai Cosplay

——What aspects did you want to express, or what did you pay attention to in this cosplay?

Mesie Seven：When cosplaying as Riko-chan, I make sure my makeup isn’t too heavy. Since she is a junior high school student, I keep it to a school makeup level at most, and I apply blush lower on my cheeks to shift the focus downward and wish to appear younger. Since I can't attach false eyelashes well, I opted for eyelash extensions this time!

—— What aspects of Amanai do you find impressive?

Mesie Seven：It's heartbreaking that Riko-chan has had it ingrained in her that she is a vessel and has come to vaguely accept that one day she will be separated from her friends and Kuroi-san, living her days with this burden. When I see her momentarily forget that situation and laugh with her friends, I just want to say, "Thank you, Forever..."

—— There were many 'Jujutsu Kaisen' cosplayers at the event. Did you have any interactions with other cosplayers?

Mesie Seven：There were so many high-quality 'Jujutsu Kaisen' cosplayers, and it was such a joy! I was thrilled to have photos taken with Gojo and Geto, recreating illustrations as if we were in them!

—— Are there any cosplays you would like to try in the future?

Mesie Seven：In 'Jujutsu Kaisen,' I’ve already done Tsukumo, Ieiri, Kugisaki, Miwa, and Utahime, so I'm starting to feel like I want to conquer all the female characters! If I had the physique, I'd love to do Todo Aoi and Takada-chan!!
