[Photos/Images] Qin vs Zhao, All-Out War Begins! Anime "Kingdom" 6th Series Set to Air from October 2025 1st

It has been decided that the 6th series of the anime "Kingdom" will be broadcast on NHK General in October 2025. A visual featuring Shin of the Hi Shin Unit holding the spear entrusted to him by the great general Ou Ki has been revealed.

This work is a TV anime adaptation of the manga "Kingdom" by Yasuhisa Hara, which is a hugely popular series in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The original comic series has surpassed a cumulative 110 million copies in print. In 2024, the fourth live-action adaptation "Kingdom: Return of the Great General" was released, becoming a massive hit with box office earnings of 8 billion yen.

The story, set in the Warring States period in China, depicts the adventures of a boy, Shin (CV: Masakazu Morita), who aims to become the world’s greatest general, and the young king Ei Sei (CV: Jun Fukuyama), who will later become the first Emperor of China. The TV anime series has so far included the 1st series (aired from June 2012 to February 2013 on NHK BS Premium), the 2nd series (from June 2013 to March 2014), the 3rd series (April to October 2021), the 4th series (April to October 2022), and the 5th series (January to March 2024).

This time, it’s been confirmed that the 6th series of the TV anime "Kingdom" will air on NHK General in October 2025. The battle for the unification of China becomes full-fledged in the 6th series. Qin, led by O Sen (CV: Kenyu Horiuchi), Kan Ki (CV: Kentaro Ito), and You Tan Hei (CV: Mie Sonozaki), launches strategies with a coalition of three armies.

Furthermore, the new generation, including Shin, Mo Ten (CV: Hirofumi Nojima), and O Hon (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya), each leads their own units as independent task forces and are entrusted with important roles. In this 6th series, Shin finally goes into battle wielding “Ou Ki’s Spear.” Expect exciting developments as Shin, entrusted with the spear of the great general, dashes through the battlefield and the all-out war between Qin and Zhao unfolds.
