JoJo Love Explodes! Iwai of Haraichi Praises "Mista's Resolve" and Atsuko Uchida Talks About "New Underwear" as Their "Favorite Points"

A special program, "JOJO SCOOP," which delves deep into the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" animation series, aired exclusively for free on ABEMA on April 12th (Saturday).

The show featured host Yuki Iwai (of Haraichi), assistant host Rika Adachi, alongside guests Atsuko Uchida, Go☆Jasu, and Mama Tart, all of whom are overflowing with love for JoJo. With Daisuke Ono (voice of Jotaro Kujo) narrating, they revisited iconic scenes from the series while passionately discussing their individual "favorite points."

The segment titled "You Can Catch Up Now! JoJo's Bizarre History!" took a look back at the story from Part 1 to the present. From the meeting of Jonathan Joestar and Dio, to the introduction of the series' iconic "Stand" in Part 3, to famous quotes like "I am thrilled! I admire it!" "But I refuse" and "Useless useless useless useless useless useless useless useless!" viewers were also excited, saying things like "Nothing but famous quotes," "Even the enemies are cool," and "I really love it."

During the segment where JoJo-loving studio members discussed their favorite points, Uchida confessed a habit inspired by a line from the series. Her favorite point is "New Underwear," referencing a scene from Part 4, "Diamond is Unbreakable," where Josuke Higashikata, after a tough battle with Yuya Fungami, says, "I feel so refreshed. Like the morning of New Year's Day when I put on new underwear!" This uniquely phrased scene, which is one of JoJo's highlights, was picked up. Uchida continued, "I love this line! To experience Josuke's feeling, I make sure to wear new underwear every New Year. Oh, it feels so refreshing (laughs)," causing laughter in the studio.
