[Photos/Images] The Moment the Mask Fell Off... Char's Uncontainable Rage Only Portrayed in the TV Version of "Mobile Suit Gundam" 1st

A calm and collected man who always anticipates the next move and never loses his composure in battle... This is the image most would associate with Char Aznable, the "Red Comet" (CV: Shuichi Ikeda). However, in episode 41 of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam," there is a singular moment that changes this image of him.

When the "Operation Star One" was launched, the Earth Federation Forces, including the White Base, clashed with the Zeon forces led by Kycilia Zabi. The battle transitioned into a mobile suit fight as Amuro Ray's (CV: Toru Furuya) Gundam confronted Lalah Sune's (CV: Keiko Han) Elmeth.

In the midst of battle, a unique mental dialogue began to emerge between Amuro and Lalah, born from their Newtype abilities. They were on the verge of reaching a level of understanding that transcended words.

However, witnessing their exchange, Char intervenes, shouting, "Stop your babbling with him!" and brings Lalah back to the reality of the battlefield. He then desperately pleads with her, saying, "I want to defeat the Gundam. Guide me!" Lalah obliges, but this decision marks the beginning of a chain of tragedy.

In the ensuing chaos, Char attempts to strike down the G-Fighter but halts at the sound of Lalah's voice, "Commander! No!" It is at this moment he realizes the pilot is his sister, Sayla Mass. Taking advantage of this lapse, Amuro closes in on Char's Gelgoog, slicing off its right arm with his beam saber. At the very moment to land the final blow, Lalah leaps in to shield Char.
