The Fate of the White Devil Scattered in Space! The Lonely Aftermath of Gundam's Final Order

In episode 43 of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam," the "Last Shooting" is depicted. After its final shot that pierces through the Zeong in the sky, the Gundam disappears from both the battlefield and the screen where its presence felt so natural.

The Gundam, having lost its head and left arm, receives Amuro's "final order" and moves to an open space. It then suddenly fires the beam rifle upwards. This shot destroys the head of the Zeong, which was waiting for the right moment to attack from above, successfully repelling it. However, at the same time, the Gundam is hit in the right arm and right leg, causing it to collapse to its knees.

This movement is in stark contrast to the figure that changed many battle situations and was feared by enemies as the "White Devil.” It is neither fierce nor glorious. Yet, it was indeed the figure of one that "fought" until the end.

Here, the mobile suit "Gundam," which has always been the main character of the story, completes its mission. And what follows is a new kind of battle different from before, one where "humans" collide, not with beam rifles or sabers.
