"Did They Seriously Skip Crucial Parts?" TV Edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" Leaves Viewers Stunned with Bold Editing

The second episode of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" has been airing sequentially from April 15. The "major incident" depicted in the advance screening version underwent unexpected changes in presentation, leaving fans in shock, exclaiming, "No way," and "How bold!"

The series held a theatrical advance screening starting January 17, where some episodes were reconstructed for theatrical display ahead of the TV series broadcast. Contrary to expectations of focusing on the story of the protagonist Amate Yuzuriha, also known as Machu (CV: Tomoyo Kurosawa), Char Aznable (CV: Yūki Shin) from "Mobile Suit Gundam" appeared in the first half, and an extended "IF story" different from "Mobile Suit Gundam" captivated the audience.

In the TV series, the composition was altered, commencing with Machu's story from the latter half of the theatrical advance version in episode one. The following episode two, "White Gundam," showcased Char's segment.

In the latter half, the "scenes up to Zeknova" depicted in the advance version changed to appear as a recollection by Challia Bull, a Lieutenant Colonel of the Principality of Zeon (CV: Shinji Kawada). Challia narrated, "During the operation of the Second Battle of Solomon, the psychomu system of the Red Gundam went out of control. This incident, later known as Zeknova, annihilated one-third of the Solomon Fortress, eventually avoiding a direct hit on Granada," summarizing the conclusion of the One Year War. This sequence was compressed into a digest until Char's disappearance was shown.
