In the second episode of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," which started airing on April 15, an unexpected interaction between Char and Challia stirred up fans of the first generation of Gundam.

The scene where Char Aznable (CV: Yuki Shin), known as the Red Comet, and Challia Bull (CV: Shinji Kawada), referred to as the "Green Man," quietly toast with wine glasses and shake hands—though simple, why does it resonate so intensely?

In the original "Mobile Suit Gundam," Challia appeared under Kycillia Zabi's command and was sent to fight against Gundam at Char's suggestion, resulting in his demise as a "Newtype candidate." His presence felt somewhat out of place, and his contact with Char was only superficial.

However, in "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," that relationship changed significantly. While Challia still struggled between Kycillia and Supreme Commander Gihren Zabi, Char saw through his turmoil as they clinked glasses.

"There is a way for you to not have to struggle between the Commander and Kycillia," Char proposed an unexpected solution. "That is to join me," he suggested to the person he previously wished would disappear through battle with Amuro.

Furthermore, the ideal spoken by Challia in the original Gundam, "for the peace of all Newtypes," is now expressed in Char's words. Their handshake exuded an air of camaraderie more than their military roles.
