"Let's See It" From There!? Iconic Char's Line Comes from a Premium Seat in "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX"!

In episode 2 of the anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," which started airing on April 15th, a line that would make anyone who has watched the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" exclaim "It's here!" has made its appearance.

The line is Char Aznable's (CV: Syuichi Ikeda) famous phrase "Let's see it" from episode 2 of the 1979 anime "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Destroy Gundam," just before he confronts the Gundam while piloting his Char's Custom Zaku for the first time.

Although Char's famous line has been paid homage to several times in later series, who would have thought we would hear it straight from Char Aznable himself (CV: Yuki Shin) again in "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX"?

At this time, Char is piloting the recently captured RX-78-02 Gundam (the White Gundam). He is confronting the Earth Federation Forces' RX-78-01 Gundam (Zerohito), which is a prototype variant.

In the original "Mobile Suit Gundam," Char delivered this line from his Char's Custom Zaku, brimming with fighting spirit against an unknown battle with the Gundam. But in this instance, the roles are completely reversed. Char, now on the Gundam's side, delivers the same line from the premium seat of the white mobile suit's cockpit.
