"Chiikawa" is a popular manga by illustrator Nagano, posted on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. It won the Grand Prix in ‘Japan Character Award 2022’ and also in ‘Japan Character Award 2024’ announced in July 2024. The charming gap between the small, cute characters and their severe world has garnered a wide range of fans from adults to children, with over 3.9 million followers to date.

The anime version of "Chiikawa" airs within Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" every Tuesday and Friday at around 7:40 a.m. Starting from April 2025, new episodes will be on a three-month hiatus, during which well-received episodes from the past will be broadcast again. Additionally, the first "Chiikawa" smartphone app, "Chiikawa Pocket," was released on March 27, available in 43 countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States. The number of downloads has surpassed 3 million.
